Terms and Conditions

Please note that you are entering an agreement with our company selling goods on blinds-direct.co.uk and agree with our terms and conditions every time you complete an order. This happens when an email of order confirmation is being sent out. All telephone orders will require an email and the customer needs to double check the sizes inside the email confirmation.

Products:

We only sell made to measure products, made according to your sizes and preferences. Please follow our measuring instructions and there is no need to deduct anything from your measurements, factory makes necessary deductions for inside window frame mount. There will be no returns or refunds offered for wrong measurements and we reserve the right to ask for proof that measurements have been taken correct as well. When manufacturing your goods machines and workers have 2 to 5 mm margin of plus or minus, we will not replace blinds with sizes found within this margin. This is a very small margin and should never affect the operation of your product.

Screen colours may vary and our products may not look exact like in the product page pictures. We offer on most of our products a free sample by post helping a more informed decision to be made.

Roller and blackout blinds over 2000mm in width and with a drop larger than 1800mm will have a horizontal joint as close to the top of the blind as possible. For roman blinds, wider than 1380mm there will be vertical joints, one to each side of the main middle panel. Patterned fabrics will be pattern matched to create full patterns. For more information please contact our customer service. Natural wooden blinds may show colour variation and grain non-uniformity depending on the timbers used in the production.

Delivery:

Please note that if we quote 5 days' delivery time it means 5 business days from the moment the order has been verified and we have the money is in our bank account. The website delivery times may be not valid in the case of busy periods of the year such as Christmas or even Bank Holidays. If any unforeseen delays happen and parts of the blinds, curtains or shutters have been made cancellations will not be approved. We cannot guarantee deliveries and will not be able to compensate against delays. For areas like Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands delivery companies may charge an extra fee. You have the right to cancel the order if the fee is not accepted. We reserve the right to ask for a redelivery charge if the customer does not rearrange in time with the courier a previously attempted delivery. Customers will have to check the boxes upon delivery and sign the consignment as damaged if there are any signs of damage. Customer also must check the goods inside and report any problems back to us in maximum of 28 days from the day of delivery. Next day deliveries are subject to an extra charge per blind that must not be confused with the courier fee.

Returns:

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 excludes made to measure goods like window blinds, curtains or shutters) from the legislation and the 7-day cancellation period does not apply.

Child Safety Information:

Use of additional safety devices may reduce the risk of strangulation but the blind cannot be considered foolproof. Elimination of this type of risk can be achieved by keeping cords, chains, tapes and similar out of the reach of children. You must not install the blind without having the child safety device installed as well. If for any reason you cannot find the device you must contact us for a replacement and only after proceed with installation.
